The Center for Educational Development at ICUDDR (ICUDDR-CED) is dedicated to expanding the reach and impact of addiction studies programs.
As a global consortium, ICUDDR serves as a hub for networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among researchers, faculty, and institutions working in drug demand reduction through its membership, regional coordinating centers, and no-cost, accessible educational events, and resources.
The center aims to facilitate the development of programs that meet international standards for training in drug prevention, treatment, and recovery. To achieve this, ICUDDR provides technical advisory and curriculum assistance to new and existing university-level Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programs. Moreover, the center actively engages students and addiction professionals in academic and continuing education programs in addiction studies through webinars, workshops, symposia, working groups, online forums, and conferences. Furthermore, the center facilitates student and teacher exchange programs, providing opportunities for learning and collaboration remotely and in person.
