The courses are in sequence to provide a comprehensive approach to addiction studies. In addition to time spent in the classroom, students spend 285 hours in hospitals, mental health centers, social service agencies, substance-abuse counseling sites and other facilities. Graduates take positions as mental health workers, drug and alcohol workers, psychiatric technicians, social service interviewers, community organizers and personnel counselors.
