The Certificate Program in Alcohol/Drug Counseling consists of eleven (11) courses designed to prepare individuals for entry into the substance abuse counseling field at a professional level. The certificate is widely recognized by alcohol treatment centers. Abuse of many kinds of substances is covered, including alcohol, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and pcp. Also covered are process addiction (such as eating disorders, gambling, and sex addictions) and domestic violence. All courses provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a board-approved provider number for registered nurses and teachers.
