Like all counseling careers, helping those who struggle with addiction is a rewarding and challenging field. Students interested in all aspects of counseling can begin their education at Clatsop. There are many career levels for alcohol and drug counseling, and every state has their own regulations. Students should speak with an advisor to explore career opportunities and plan their education.

All counseling degrees require a strong focus on communication, and Clatsop students benefit from excellent faculty and small class sizes. The Associate of Arts, Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree will be the foundation on which you build your education, and you can explore your interests with our wide variety of classes.
