The mission of the Social and Human Services Addictions Specialization Program at Daytona State College is to prepare students for careers that focus on helping people and communities to solve problems, and to help people live more satisfying lives. This is accomplished by offering a curriculum providing graduates of the program with a solid foundation of principles, theories, ethics, and applied skills in the areas of addictions, chemical dependency, and human services.
