This program is designed to prepare students for competencies, internship or employment in the alcoholism and drug abuse field. Fulfillment of the course requirements satisfies the specialized training requirements for the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Associate (LSAA) or Counselor Licensure (LADAC) in New Mexico. Licensure also requires a minimum of an Associates Degree and specified supervised experience hours beyond these training requirements. In addition, all courses are approved for Continuing Education by the NM Counseling and Therapy Practice Board.
