A program spanning four semesters designed to provide a quality education to individuals wishing to become certified as an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) counselor. The classes provide a total of 325 classroom hours or 32.5 continuing education units. Within the 16-month period you can complete all your required courses, your supervised practicum hours and have school breaks when you can take vacations or tend to other life needs. You have vacation from your course work during the later part of December and January, plus most of the month of August. The total time you are actually attending classes is approximately 12 months. While class attendance is required, we believe you need to maintain a resilient life while pursuing courses. To meet life needs, some students prefer to slow down the pace of taking the courses. You may pace yourself at a slower rate, taking one course a semester - or even taking a break and returning to the program.
