This program will provide an environment that broadens perspectives, builds self-awareness, and develops effective skills for substance abuse counseling. This degree prepares students for licensing as a Substance Abuse Counselor in New Mexico. The program is also designed for students wishing to complete a baccalaureate degree in integrated studies or in the social sciences, including psychology, sociology, or social work, with an emphasis in substance abuse counseling.
