ICUDDR, GCCC, ISSUP and ITTC are pleased to invite you to their collaborative Webinar on Professional Development and Support - Who does what? This Webinar will give a clear understanding of ISSUP, ICUDDR, ITTC and GCCC and how as a family of organisations they support the development and strengthening of the substance use prevention, treatment and recovery support workforce. Agenda: Introduction to the Organisations 1. Introduction to the International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR) University education - the International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR) supports the network of further education institutions (colleges and universities) to provide quality education to students in this field. It does this by promoting the need for this education, ensuring its quality and building the network for universities to share experiences and know how. 2. Introduction to the Global Centre for Credentialing and Certification (GCCC) Credentials / qualifications / certification - the Global Centre for Credentialing and Certification (GCCC), part of Colombo Plan provide the ICAP certification: International Certified Addiction Professional. An ICAP shows the individual has been trained in the science of substance use treatment or prevention, obtained supervised experience and passed the ICAP exam. 3. Introduction to International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) Ongoing professional development, networking and support - ISSUP provides a place for the workforce to come together, to access the tools provided by our partners and build the network of substance use prevention, treatment and recovery support workers in their field and location. 4. Introduction to the International Technology Transfer Center (ITTC) Support a country to provide and maintain an effective workforce and system - The International Technology Transfer Center (ITTC) network for drug demand reduction is comprised of universities and research centres. They support a government to create, improve or maintain an effective substance use workforce by building capacity in systems, practices and policies. Panel Discussion/Prepared Q&A FAQs collected in advance of the session that focus on individuals and members needs and questions. Sub-topics that consider the steps of actions an individual might want, eg. training, education, credentials/qualifications, jobs, continuing professional development, mentoring, networks etc. Live Question & Answer Session
