Housing Supports Recovery and Well-Being: Definitions and Shared Values

This facts sheet provides an overview of housing models that support the recovery and well-being of individuals struggling with substance abuse and/or mental health conditions. The two types of housing highlighted offer different approaches: Recovery Housing focuses on substance-free environments with peer support and community connections, while Supportive Housing provides permanent housing with voluntary services aimed at stability and independence. This information may be relevant to stake holders as it provides evidence to strategies that can support recovery from substance use disorders.
